After a good amount of research I came to the conclusion most young voters don't seem to really understand the big issues and what the progressive agenda is doing to our country.
I decided to write this blog in hopes of helping my generation better understand politics by simplifying the news. Yes I get that watching the " Jersey Shore" is more entertaining than watching a news channel and reading a gossip magazine much more captivating than reading the paper daily. Being young doesn't necessarily make you interested in politics; but truth be told you make a huge difference in what is going on out there. Every vote counts. Did you know the 2000 Presidential Election was decided by 537 votes? That is probably close to the amount of friends you have on you social networking page.
Bottom line is; if you have a job, you pay taxes. And I would hope you know what your tax dollars are used for. You might not think about it now but politics and economics have a bigger impact in you life that someone who is 60 and is going to retire in 5 years. You have more working years ahead of you, more taxes to pay, more money to save.
Note that this blog is not written to convince you of anything. This is my personal attempt to help you better understand politics.
